Object Description Language (ODL) was the original interface definition language created by Microsoft for specifying interfaces to be used in OLE Automation. It was a superset of the OMG IDL.cite-ref-1[1]cite-ref-2[2]cite-ref-3[3]cite-ref-4[4]

Microsoft provided a utility mktyplib to compile ODL files.cite-ref-5[5]

The ODL was merged into the Microsoft Interface Definition Language.
